    Richmond Police to host free steering wheel lock event

    RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — The Richmond Police Department will host a free steering wheel lock giveaway on Sunday as part of its continued efforts to decrease vehicle thefts in the city.

    The Richmond Police Department will host a free steering wheel lock giveaway from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 21 at the Richmond Police Department Training Academy, located at 1202 West Graham Road.

    At the event, officers will give away free steering wheel locks to Richmond residents who own Hyundai and Kia vehicles while supplies last.

    Those interested in picking up a free steering wheel lock at the event must present a proof of residency in Richmond, as well as proof of ownership of a Hyundai or Kia vehicle.
