LIST: A guide to farmers markets in Richmond

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) – There are over 20 farmers markets to be found throughout Richmond that everyone can enjoy during the summer months.
The Virginia Farmers Market Association website has a map showing all the different farmers markets located throughout Virginia. Here is a list of 25 farmer’s markets you can visit in the Richmond area.
This market runs from May to November every Tuesday from 3 to 6:30 p.m.
Vendors sell local produce such as fruit, meat, eggs, dairy, baked goods and food.
The Birdhouse Online Farmers Market is operational year-round. Shoppers can purchase items starting at 6 a.m. on Thursday to 3 a.m. on Monday. They can then pick up their purchase on Tuesday.

Open year-round on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Each Thursday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
There are a lot of vendors selling candles, produce, pastries and other homemade items.

It is Richmond’s “biggest year-round” outdoor farmers market. They have lots of local vendors selling different types of products.

From June to November the Shalom Farms Mobile Market provides weekly pop-up farmers markets for the Richmond community. They sell to low-income senior living communities, community health clinics and public housing areas.

They are open year-round every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
It is an “open-air producer-only” farmers market that sells only homemade items and produce made by locals.

West End Farmers Market
The West End Farmers Market is open year-round every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
According to organizers, it is the only “farmer-owned” farmers market in the Richmond area with every produce and product made in Virginia.
