HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Amid IT outages reported internationally, affecting airports, airlines, banks and media companies, multiple flights have been canceled out of Richmond International Airport.

According to ABC News , earlier in the morning on Friday, July 19, American Airlines, United and Delta asked the Federal Aviation Administration for global ground stop on all flights.

However, at around 5 a.m., American Airlines posted a tweet on X saying that they were back up and running as normal.

In the aftermath, multiple flights out of Richmond International Airport have been cancelled, though it has not yet been confirmed whether or not the cancellations are a result of the outage.
