    VIDEO: A foot of water collects in Richmond intersection during flash flood

    RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Roadways filled with a foot of water after flash flooding hit the city of Richmond on Saturday afternoon.

    According to the National Weather Service (NWS), it was estimated that around one foot of water flooded the intersection of Belvidere and Canal Street in Richmond as of 3:27 p.m. on Saturday, July 20.

    This is not the first flooding incident that this intersection has experienced this month.

    A Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) camera shows footage of cars driving through the flooded streets on Saturday afternoon.
