One dead, two injured in Richmond shooting

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — The Richmond Police Department is investigating a homicide and aggravated assault that occurred on West Broad Street which left one dead and two injured.

At around 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 20, officers were called to the 00 block of West Broad Street for the report of a shooting. When officers arrived on scene, they found three men down on the ground with gunshot wounds.

According to police, two of the men were transported to a local hospital with injuries not considered to be life threatening.

The third man was transported to a local hospital where he later died due to his injury. According to officials, the medical examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.

Anyone with information about this homicide and aggravated assault is asked to call Major Crimes Detective G. Sullivan at 804-646-3929 .
