Adoption fees waived at Chesterfield Animal Services event Saturday

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Residents of the Richmond area looking to adopt a pet are invited to a carnival-themed event hosted by Chesterfield County Animal Services at which all adoption fees will be waived.

According to Chesterfield County Animal Services, guests will be able to meet all of the shelter’s adoptable pets and households who already have dogs are encouraged to bring them along to see how they get along with them. Anyone who adopts a pet at the event will get free pet supplies as well.

In addition to adoptable pets, there will also be a donut food truck, pet jewelry, face painting, outdoor yard games, giveaways and more.

The free event will take place at Chesterfield County Animal Services, located at 9300 Public Works Road, from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 3.
