Missouri woman arrested on suspected drug distribution in Osage County
A Missouri woman was arrested on suspected drug distribution charges in Osage County on Monday. Sheriff Chris Wells says the arrest of 37-year-old Kyra Merriman of Kansas City developed after an alleged traffic infraction. An Osage County K-9 unit stopped Merriman at US Highway 75 and 189th Road, about five miles north of Lyndon, and allegedly found illegal narcotics.

Trenton woman arrested on probation violation; La Plata woman charged with DWI and assault
A La Plata woman has been charged in Caldwell County after she allegedly drove while intoxicated and assaulted a law enforcement officer on July 22. Fifty-two-year-old Kelli Cottrill has been charged with felony third-degree assault involving a special victim. She also faces the misdemeanors of resisting or interfering with an arrest, detention, or stop; driving while intoxicated; and failure to drive on the right half of the road when the road was of sufficient width.
