Soggy Days Ahead For the South
A stalled out front is going to keep the next several days soggy across the South. A stretch of torrential downpours has lead to areas like Columbia, SC reaching 6 in rainfall totals in just one day. The past few day have varied the intensity of the storms, with some storms carrying flooding rain alongside strong, gusty winds. The stalled boundary responsible for this will continue to sit across the Southeast U.S. this weekend, leading to more strong-to-severe thunderstorms. Saturday, the SPC calls for a marginal risk ( level 1 out of 5) to see severe thunderstorms from Virginia to Northern Florida.

Benedict alumni help HBCU break annual fundraising goal
Columbia, SC (WOLO) — Benedict College is celebrating a decade of giving. 42 of the 63 alumni clubs, from the college have surpassed their yearly fundraising goal which goes to support several hardworking Benedict students. School officials say they wanted to reach their goal of $1.5 million dollars, but eclipsed that amount by more than $200 thousand dollars for a total of $1,730,173.45 dollars.
