Two people accused of several felony charges arrested in the Village of Cobb
MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - Two Cobb residents were arrested Tuesday after the Richland-Iowa-Grant Drug Task Force conducted a search warrant in the Village of Cobb. A 48-year-old is facing several felony charges including possession with intent to deliver amphetamine. The suspect is also facing two misdemeanor charges including neglecting a child.

Two People Arrested By Richland-Iowa-Grant Drug Task Force
Members of the Richland–Iowa-Grant Drug Task Force conducted a search warrant in the Village of Cobb On Tuesday at 11am. Arrested were: 48 year old Julie Porteous of Cobb, who was charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver Narcotics, Felony Possession with Intent to Deliver Amphetamine, 3 counts of Felony Bail Jumping, 3 counts of Felony Maintaining a Drug Trafficking Place, Felony Neglecting a Child, and Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Also arrested was 62 year old Larry Lapan of Cobb for Possession with Intent to Deliver Narcotics (Party to a Crime), Felony Possession with Intent to Deliver Amphetamine (Party to a Crime), Felony Maintaining a Drug Trafficking Place (Party to a Crime), Felony Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Misdemeanor Probation Hold through the Wisconsin Department of Corrections. Both Porteous and Lapan were booked into the Iowa County Jail. The Iowa County Sheriff’s Office and members of the Richland-Iowa-Grant Drug Task Force were assisted by Cobb First Responders, Highland EMS, and Haase’s Towing.
Gratiot Man Arrested For Cocaine Possession
An Iowa County Sheriff’s Deputy conducted a traffic stop on U.S. Highway 14 in the Village of Arena Saturday just past 7pm. As a result, 60 year old Ronald Patterson Jr. of Gratiot was arrested and charged with Possession of Cocaine and a Probation Hold. Patterson was booked at the Iowa County Jail.
Abandoned litter of puppies find foster homes
MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - An abandoned litter of puppies found on the side of the road Friday night between New Glarus and Blanchardville are now in foster homes. WMTV 15 News had Erin Emery with the Green County Humane Society on Wednesday morning for the Pet of the Week segment where she provided the update. Emery says all the puppies are in foster homes and are thriving.

Officials searching for motorcyclist that fled police on US 151
RIDGEWAY, Wis. (WMTV) - The Ridgeway Marshal’s Office is asking for the public’s help in identifying a motorcyclist that fled from authorities Friday. At 4:20 p.m., Iowa County Communications Center received a traffic complaint from the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office that a subject in dark clothing riding a black motorcycle was traveling north on U.S. Highway 151 and passed law enforcement at 100 mph, officials said.

UTV Crash Injures Three Near Belmont
Three people were transported to the hospital Friday night after a UTV crash. 50 year old Jamie Hille of Mineral Point was traveling on Lake Joy Lane, driving his UTV on Lake Joy Lane in Belmont Township at a high rate of speed. Hille failed to navigate a curve, causing the UTV to leave the roadway and roll over. The Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department said that Hille was operating while intoxicated and is being referred for Operating While Intoxicated, and Causing Bodily Injury. Two passengers were in the UTV with Hille, 45 year old Michelle Swift of Warren, Illinois and 37 year old Chelsea Davis of Dubuque. Swift and Hille were driven to a hospital by Southwest Health EMS for non-life-threatening injuries. Meanwhile, Davis was airlifted for serious non-life threatening injuries.

Arrest Following A Disturbance in Barneveld
The Iowa County Communication Center received a report of a disturbance at a residence on North Kenzie Street in Barneveld Thursday night around 11:45pm. Iowa County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the scene. After an investigation, 33 year old Hayden Arneson of Barneveld was arrested and charged with Domestic Disorderly Conduct and Battery. Arneson was booked at the Iowa County Jail where he was later released.
