RIDGEWOOD, NJ — The Village of Ridgewood recently received a $68,000 Local Recreation Improvement Grant from the NJ Department of Community Affairs for the purchase and installation of an inclusive playground at Habernickel Park, intended to provide a safe and inclusive space specifically designed to promote play among children of differing abilities.

"Building an inclusive playground at Habernickel Park will serve our special needs families and provide a safe space for all children to play and enjoy such a beautiful park," said Village Manager Keith Kazmark. "We thank the Department of Community Affairs for this grant, which will offset the costs associated with the new playscape. This, plus the proposed pavilion on the property, will greatly enhance the Habernickel experience."
