RIDGEWOOD, NJ — The village was recognized for their service to senior citizens at the recent Ridgewood Council Meeting, where they were presented with an award plaque from State Director for AARP New Jersey Chris Widelo, certifying the village as a member of the AARP Network of Age Friendly Communities and States.

The certification recognizes Ridgewood's service of their elderly population through the adoption of policies and programs, such as making their neighborhoods walkable, adding transportation options and supporting housing for seniors that’s affordable.
