5-Ingredient No Name Dip Is So Good It's The Only Dip You'll Ever Make Again

    2024-08-17

Everyone has a go to recipe depending on the situation, right? So when you have unexpected company coming over, need a quick dish to pass and share, need a crowd-pleaser for gameday, or have a hankering for munchies during movie night, this is it. This is my go-to recipe, and I know it will be yours too! It's SUPER inexpensive and simple, and it only has five base ingredients. Five!

    The Base:

You can add anything you like to this no-name dip. It works well with buffaflo chicken, chopped cukes, onions, ground beef, shredded pork, garlic, shallots, and even beans like kidney or black. There really are no rules!

    • 16 ounces of sour cream
    • 8 ounces of softened, room-temperature cream cheese
    • 1/3 cup of real bacon, chopped, smoked (like applewood smoked bacon), or real bacon bits. Don't use the fake stuff.
    • A dry Ranch dressing packet
    • 1.5-2 cups of cheddar cheese, shredded

*** I STRONGLY RECCOMEND adding two chopped green onions.

Simply combine everything and put it in the fridge for an hour. What I usually do is mix the ranch packet in with the sour cream first, then whip that up with the cream cheese. The bacon bits go in after. The cheddar cheese gets stirred in last.

Serve with your preferred variety of crackers, chips, pretzels, veggie dippers, finger sandwhiches, rolled meats and cheeses, and even grape jelly crockpot meatballs. Heck, I'd even eat a shoe covered in this stuff. Seriously, it's THAT good.
