Decadent Chocolate Cobbler: Sinfully Delicious & Easy to Make

    User-posted content

Sinful chocolate cobbler is an irresistibly decadent dessert that’s surprisingly simple to make, perfect for satisfying any chocolate craving. Imagine this.. moist chocolate cake layered over warm, fudgy pudding. It is somewhat similar to chocolate lava cake, but wayyy simpler and just as tasty. This molten chocolate treat is baked in a large 9 x 13-inch pan (so plenty to share!), with a gooey, rich, fudgy center and a slightly crispy topping that makes it simply drool-worthy. Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top, allowing the creamy coldness to melt over the hot chocolate, creating a sinful indulgence.

    Pro Tips

    • Use high-quality cocoa powder for a deeper chocolate flavor; it is, after all, the star of the show.
    • Don't overmix the batter to keep the cobbler light.
    • Sprinkle a pinch of sea salt on top before baking for a delightful contrast to the sweetness.
    • After baking, allow the cobbler to rest for 15 minutes to set slightly, making it easier to serve while still warm and gooey.

Prep Time: 5 mins.; Cook Time: 30 mins.; Total Time: 35 mins.

    Ingredients:

    • 1 stick of butter
    • 2 cups of all-purpose flour
    • 3 tsp. baking powder
    • 1/2 tsp. kosher salt
    • 3 1/2 cups of granulated sugar
    • Divide 3/4 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder into 1/2 and 1/4 cups.
    • 1 1/3 cups whole milk
    • 2 tsp. Pure vanilla extract
    • 3 cups of boiling water
    • 1 cup of roughly chopped walnuts (optional)

    Directions:

    1. Warm your oven to 350° Fahrenheit. Add your butter to a 9 x 13-inch pan and place it in your preheated oven to melt. Don't walk away from the oven; you don't want it to burn. Once melted, remove from the oven and set aside.
    2. Using a medium-sized bowl, add your flour, baking powder, salt, 1 1/2 cups of sugar, and 1/4 cup of cocoa powder. Stir to combine it all together. Pour in your milk and vanilla extract. Stir to combine, making sure your batter is smooth. If you are using walnuts now would be the time to add them.
    3. In a small bowl, stir together the last of your cocao powder (1/2 cup) and the last of your sugar (2 cups).
    4. Next, grab your 9x13-inch pan and pour in your liquid batter. On top of that, add your sugar and cocoa mixture evenly.
    5. Now for the tricky part! Slowly and as evenly as possible, pour your boiling water over the top.
    6. Place your cobbler in the oven and bake just until the top sets, around 25–30 minutes.
    7. Remove from oven and allow to cool for 10–15 minutes. This will allow your cobbler to "set up" a bit.

    Enjoy, Friends! ❤️
