1 killed, 3 injured in Fulton County crash
LYONS, Ohio — An Adrian man was killed and three other people injured in a two-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon in Fulton County. According to the Toledo post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Richard Kinnick, 74, was driving south on State Rt. 109 when he failed to stop for the stop sign at U.S. 20 and was struck by a westbound vehicle that was being driven by John Garrow, 68, of Waldron, Mich. Mr. Kinnick was not wearing his seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene. Mr. Kinnick’s passenger, Laura Berger, 71, of Sarasota, Fla., was transported to ProMedica Toledo Hospital with serious injuries. Ms. Berger was wearing her seat belt. Mr. Garrow and his passenger, Laura Garrow, 66, also of Waldron, Mich., suffered minor injuries. They were both transported to the Fulton County Health Center for treatment.
Why one SEC school keeps coming back to Toledo for football recruits
It is difficult to separate Toledo football from Vince Marrow, and vice versa. Marrow was an all-conference tight end at the University of Toledo en route to a 10-year professional playing career. After a few years coaching in the now-defunct NFL Europe league, he returned to the Toledo area to become the head coach at Springfield High School. Following a year of coaching in the high school ranks, Marrow returned to UT as the tight ends coach. At the same time, he sent his son to Central Catholic. As a player, coach, recruiter, and parent, Marrow became familiar with the coaches in the area and the level of talent on the field.
