    To most of us, Mississippi is considered a wonder, which makes it one of the beautiful states within the US. People from different places come here to witness the beauty of this state with their own eyes, and we are sure that you wanted to require a visit here or perhaps desire to live here. But, there are still places here in Mississippi that don't seem worth visiting and are better off your bucket list.

    Top 5: Gulfport

    Gulfport is actually a pleasant spot to go to, mentioning all the amenities and facilities that it could offer. However, unemployment here may be a big issue in this place.

    The people living in this place couldn't really enjoy what it offers as unemployment rates here are surprisingly high. Although crimes here aren't that much of a concern, residents here are having a troublesome time finding a job because some live in poverty and are finding it hard to survive.

    Top 4: Philadelphia

    Considered as one of the most unappealing towns in Mississippi, Philadelphia contained a bad criminal history back then. Now, crimes are still a concern, but there are much bigger problems now.

    Can you imagine that the unemployment rate here is 16.3%? This can be so concerning and frightening at the same time. People here barely have jobs knowing that the value of living here is also pricey compared to their median income. Education is also a problem as schools here have complained of lacking quality teaching for children. However, there are still plenty t of good spots to look out for in this place.

    Top 3: Holly Springs

    If you want to live somewhere to ensure yourself of great living, then take this place off your list. Unfortunately, this place has serious economic issues that led its past residents to depart from here and settle in another town.

    9.6% of the people here don't have a job, so the meridian income is lower than any state. However, this place still has great amenities and high-rated public schools which children can benefit from.

    Top 2: West Point

    This place is considered the best place to retire and the best place to raise a child, but you should not be too content with those. Issues here are still surfacing, and you need to be aware of that.

    Lack of jobs and education here may be a major concern together with crimes. 30.6% of its residents reside below poverty lines which is basically concerning. Moreover, the best local school here in this place only rated 5/10, which implies that education is totally lacking and needs improvement.

    Top 1: Forest

    Forest is found inside the Bienville National Forest, really living up to its name. Unfortunately, this place with a 5,600+ population has some serious problems that shouldn't be avoided.

    6.2% of the residents here do not have jobs, which is extremely high for a town with only five thousand people! Quality education is additionally not present here, and also, the lack of amenities is of concern. While most of the people here live within the poverty lines, the cost of living here is expensive... so it's basically a no if you want to live in a town in Mississippi.

    Mississippi has its share of its most beautiful and pleasing sights. However, we still can't ignore the fact that behind good places are bad places, and that's what we've got to avoid. So let's make sure to choose where we want to go to assure ourselves of a nice and safe trip.
