UPDATE: Cat in Rincon stuck in tree for 3 days rescued

RINCON, Ga. (WSAV) – On Sunday, the Effingham County Sheriff’s Humane Enforcement told WSAV News 3 that a cat that was stuck in a tree for three days has been successfully rescued.

On Saturday, authorities asked for the public’s assistance to help rescue the cat that was stuck in a tree around 50 ft. up.

They were asking anyone who had tools, a bucket truck, deer stand, or even tree climbing equipment to provide assistance.

The cat was stuck in a tree located on Hodgeville Rd. near Goshen Rd. in Rincon.
