Presidential election spending in Georgia projected to hit $244M
(The Center Square) – Political advertising in Georgia for the 2024 presidential election is predicted to reach $244 million, third-highest in the nation. The Political Projections Report, released Monday by advertising tracking company AdImpact, forecasts $373 million in total election cycle spending. The would rank 10th highest. New software used by City of Savannah to streamline STVR tracking, boost enforcement
When a City of Savannah staffer opens up the newly launched Rentalscape Short-Term Vacation Rental software, they are shown a world of data. There is an interactive map that will show the array of STVR locations around Savannah, a dashboard with graphics showing revenues, STVR booking activity and more. The database updates every 24 hours.
Keitaro Harada Returns to Georgia As New Savannah Philharmonic Music Director
The Savannah Philharmonic Orchestra's new season begins this Saturday, Sept. 14, with a new music director: Keitaro "Kei" Harada. Harada grew up in Tokyo, but he's no stranger to Georgia. He studied at Mercer University in Macon, where he was assistant conductor of the Macon Symphony. After that, he picked up the baton for four seasons as associate conductor of the Cincinnati Symphony.

Tompkins Class of ’64 Celebrates Another Milestone
The Sophronia Tompkins High School Class of 1964 gathered for their 60th Class Reunion on May 17-19, 2024. The weekend began with a Meet & Greet on Friday at the host hotel, the Hilton Garden Inn Savannah Midtown. The fun-filled evening was spent reminiscing, viewing videos of past reunions and sharing stories and events with fellow classmates, family members and friends. We were delighted to have Mrs. Jessie Collier DeLoach, one of only a few remaining instructors, in attendance. Mrs. DeLoach shared that she was 94 years young, and still remembered the faces of many who were students.
