With Alvarez set to compete the same night as UFC 306 in Las Vegas, the former UFC champion fired off some strong words towards the boxing great.

“Canelo is a cornflake,” McGregor posted on social media. “He has about 300k buys in him. He does not generate nothing near what he seeks to be pair. UFC NOCHE is going to run them from the strip.

“Sheik Turki was right moving on. CANELO DOESN’T SELL.”

McGregor was referencing recent comments made regarding officials moving on from an Alvarez-Terence Crawford bout. For now, Alvarez is set to face Edgar Berlanga from the T-Mobile Arena.

That same night, the UFC will debut at the Sphere in Las Vegas.

Conor McGregor-Canelo Alvarez Continue To Trade Shots

The two continued to trade social media posts with one another throughout the day.

McGregor claims to have landed more shots vs. Floyd Mayweather, while Alvarez offered up this.

“I just need one hand with ou and I don’t need to throw so many punches,” Alvarez wrote.

Of course, “Notorious” did not back down from that.

“Saul you uncooked chicken, I’ll stomp the ligaments out of your knee joint,” he wrote. “I don’t even need hands to end you. I’ll kick you raw pink.

“Canelo is a cornflake, no sugar.”
