It was a big happening on RAW, but how was the brawl between Bronson Reed and Braun Strowman received?

We knew it was a big attraction heading into the last RAW of August . Bronson Reed has put a couple Superstars on the shelf in recent weeks. He nearly took out The Miz on the prior week’s RAW , but was saved by Braun Strowman. Following that confrontation, the two big Superstars were booked for a match on Monday’s RAW . And things got interesting.

We’ve had backstage brawls before. Plenty of times. Strowman himself is no stranger to some insane feats of strength in the backstage area too. But what we saw on Monday was a special kind of brawl. There’s only a couple others that even come to mind from 2024-The Rock destroying Cody Rhodes , and Bron Breakker launching Ricochet into AEW. This means two things to me-first, we aren’t seeing them too often, so when we do, they mean something. And second, this one meant something.

    So how did they do?

Well, you aren’t going to see many spots as crazy as Big Bronson Reed dropping off a wall, delivering a Tsunami to Braun Strowman who was prone on the roof of the car. The windows shattered, the dome light sparked. It checked boxes for visual appeal and wow factor. And according to Fightful , the brawl from the entrance ramp to the backstage parking area excited those within WWE. The entire effort went off well, and while Strowman took the last splash, no one looked weak here.

The finish protected both men, no one lost the first clash. Where things go for them remains to be seen, but it seems likely we could get some PLE match with some special stipulation in the future. It’s too late for the Bash, but with Bad Blood around the corner, perhaps a Last Man Standing match or similar? Watching those two behemoths beat each other from pillar to post one more time surely would be satisfying. And I will say this now-for whatever reason, I feel when this program runs its course, we could see the two men show some respect, and possibly even team up. Crazier things have happened.
