There’s no mistaking how Chris Eubank Jr feels about some of the most powerful men in boxing. The former IBO super middleweight champ laid it all on the table Wednesday in London.

At a press conference to promote his Oct. 12 bout with Kamil Szeremeta , Chris Eubank Jr laid into promoters Frank Warren and Eddie Hearn as they sat on stage alongside him.

When asked about his decision to sign with Boxxer , he simply said “every other promoter out there is a scumbag.”

Chris Eubank Jr wasted no time elaborating further.

“We’ve got Frank Warren behind me, been lying and cheating his way through boxing for the last couple of decades. Sued for a couple hundred thousand a few years ago, so obviously I was never going to go with him. You know the guy’s a scumbag.”

He then directed his venom toward Kalle Sauerland, who promoted “Next Gen” under the Wasserman Boxing banner, until July. “Kalle Sauerland had me locked up in a terrible contract for the last few years. Squeezing money out of me at every opportunity. Scumbag,” he said.

Matchroom Boxing ’s Eddie Hearn and Frank Smith found themselves in Eubank’s crosshairs immediately after.

“Eddie Hearn, Frank Smith. They did everything they could to try and make the fight against Conor Benn still go ahead after knowing that he was on steroids. Scumbags I would say,” referring to a scrapped bout in 2022.

Eubank concluded his callout of boxing promoters with praise for Riyadh Season head Turki Alalshikh .

“The only promoter that I know for sure isn’t a scumbag is his excellency, Turki Alalshikh. This is a man who isn’t trying to take money away from fighters. He isn’t trying to use lawyers and accountants to lock fighters up into slave contracts…He just wants to put the biggest fights on, the best events on, and pay fighters what they’re worth…It’s a blessing to be a fighter at this moment in time because it’s the first time we ever had a promoter like this in the history of boxing.”

Warren: I Can’t See Into ‘Idiot’ Chris Eubanks Jr’s Mind

Eubank’s bold declaration did not come without pushback. In the midst of the finger pointing, Warren asked, “Why have we got to listen to this scumbag?”

After the presser, Warren told TalkSport that Eubanks would have a “big problem” and could face legal action for his words.

When asked why Eubank alluded to a “couple of decades” worth of problems, Warren simply said, “I’ve got no idea. I can’t see into the mind of an idiot.”

Later in the day, Eubank issued an apology to Warren, Hearn, and Sauerland. “I now wish to focus purely on boxing and preparing for a huge fight in Riyadh next month,” the statement concluded.

Chris Eubanks and Kamil Szeremeta are scheduled for Oct 12 for the IBO middleweight crown. The bout will be on the undercard of Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
