Vince Russo Would Turn Down WWE Hall Of Fame Invitation

When it comes to the WWE Hall of Fame, Vince Russo would apparently turn down an opportunity to enter the hallowed grounds.

When looking back at wrestling, the greatest period was easily the Attitude Era. Now, whomever is responsible for creating that history is up for debate. People give credit to the wresters like Steve Austin or The Rock , while others think Vince McMahon or Vince Russo deserve props. Seemingly, all the parties think they are responsible.

Russo started small in WWE before having a huge say in creative storylines. Eventually, he departed WWE and joined their rival, WCW. It was too late for WCW as they closed a short time later. Afterwards, Russo would briefly return to WWE and work for TNA . At the moment, he is not employed by any pro wrestling promotion.

Vince Russo Is Known For Outlandish Comments And Stunts

On Sportskeeda Wrestling’s Legion of RAW podcast, Russo mentioned not wanting to join the WWE Hall of Fame. “I know guys where the most important thing in their lives was getting into the WWE Hall of Fame,” said Russo. “I would turn down an invitation. Not that it will ever happen, it won’t. But, I would turn down an invitation. That’s me and my freaking opinion, bro.”

While Russo deserves credit for making some great TV moments, some can argue the opposite. Mixed in with storytelling we can only dream of, there was plenty of garbage. In fact, the disrespectful content is what caused many fans to stop watching. It is a good question if Vince Russo deserves a spot in the WWE Hall of Fame. Honestly, putting in a creative writer would be a first and WWE needs to think if that is best for business.
