Deputies Investigate Shootout in Lindrith
Rio Arriba County Sheriff’s deputies are trying to sort through details of a shootout that happened on June 2 at the Lindrith Rodeo Grounds. Deputy Trevor Walker was dispatched to the rodeo grounds shortly after midnight in regard to a call reporting that multiple drunk people were fighting and during the altercation, someone pulled a gun out and started shooting, according to his incident report. A dispatcher told Walker that the shooting continued for several minutes and one of the people who reported hearing the shots said there appeared to be a gunfight and people were shooting back and forth at each other.
