    UW — River Falls

    RIVER FALLS, Wis. — Two area students were were among 676 students receiving degrees from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls following fall commencement in Dec. 2023. Bachelor’s degrees were awarded to 603 undergraduates, while 73 students received graduate degrees.

    Students earning degrees were:

    Cassandra Fay, of Elcho, Wis., Bachelor of Science, Health and Human Performance, Summa Cum Laude.

    Madison Gerbig, of Gleason, Wis., Bachelor of Science, Dairy Science, Summa Cum Laude.

    UW-Milwaukee

    MILWAUKEE, Wis. — Jack Denamur of Elcho, Wis., was named to the Dean’s List at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee for the Spring 2024 semester. UWM is the second largest university in the State of Wisconsin, with more than 22,900 undergraduate and graduate students.

    Denamur is an undergraduate studying business at UW-Milwaukee.

    University of Alabama

    TUSCALOOSA, AL — Savannah Gross of Aniwa, Wis., has received a bachelor of science degree from the University of Alabama.

    More than 6,000 degrees were awarded at the University of Alabama during its spring commencement ceremonies.

    UW-Eau Claire

    EAU CLAIRE, Wis. — Several students from Antigo were named to the 2024 spring dean’s list at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.

    Students named to the dean’s list must have a minimum GPA of 3.70 for the semester. They must have completed at least 12 credits during the semester, with no incompletes, no courses below the 100 level, no repeats and no Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory registrations (except in degree credit-bearing courses that are offered only on the S/U grading system in which a grade of S has been earned).

    Students named to the dean’s list, who all are from Antigo, are:

    Garrett Husnick, College of Business

    Kailee Pomasl, College of Nursing and Health Sciences

    Alicia Turunen, College of Arts and Sciences

    Alonna Weix, College of Education & Human Sciences

    Hamline University

    SAINT PAUL, MN — Jesse Hernandez Julio, of Deerbrook was named to the Hamline University College of Liberal Arts Dean’s List for the Spring 2024 term.

    Hernandez Julio was among 586 students to make the Dean’s List in Spring 2024.

    To qualify, students must earn a GPA of 3.5 or higher and complete a minimum of 16 credit hours.

    UW-La Crosse

    LA CROSSE, Wis. — Several area students have been named to the Dean’s List at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse for the spring semester of the 2023-24 academic year, ending in May.

    Qualification for the Dean’s List is limited to students who have attained outstanding academic achievement. To be eligible, students must have earned at least a 3.5 semester grade point average and carried a minimum of 12 credits.

    Upper Iowa University

    FAYETTE, Iowa — Two area students recently were named to the 2024 Spring Semester Dean’s List at Upper Iowa University.

    To be honored, a student must have earned a minimum 3.50 grade point average and be enrolled as a full-time student.
