3 graduate UW-River FallsThree area residents were among the 676 students receiving degrees from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls December 2023. Bachelor’s degrees were awarded to 603 undergraduates, while 73 students received graduate degrees.

Blake Karnick, of Park Falls, received a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration and accounting.

Samuel Nesbit, of Phillips, received a Bachelor of Science degree in music. Nesbit earned senior merit honors by maintaining a 3.5 GPA for his last 60 credits.

Ashlee Podmolik, of Phillips, received a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science and information systems. Podmolik graduated Magna Cum Laude for maintaining a minimum cumulative 3.8 GPA for her entire college career at all institutions.

Rognstad on Carthage dean’s listZahra Rognstad, of Prentice, was among the full time students who earned a minimum 3.5 GPA and were placed on the spring semester dean’s list at Carthage College in Kenosha.
