Chicago Area Breaks Record With 27 Tornadoes In One Day
CHICAGO — Storms that tore through Chicago last week broke records with a whopping 27 tornadoes reported in the city and suburbs in a single day. After the July 15 storm, tornado tracks were found on the Near West Side, Chicago Lawn, West Englewood, West Town and Grant Park, according to the National Weather Service.
