Some parents and voters in Prince George’s County have reacted with outrage after finding out a school board member has spent essentially all of this year working for a school system in Ferguson, Missouri, while maintaining his elected office in Maryland.
Prince George’s County Woman Charged With Multiple Counts Of Insurance Fraud
– Attorney General Anthony G. Brown announced that the Grand Jury for Prince George’s County has handed down two indictments charging Rhonda Keisha Powell, also known as Rhonda Keisha Jackson, 38, of Upper Marlboro, Maryland with two counts of felony insurance fraud, one count of theft of property with a value of at least $25,000, and one count of attempted theft of property valued at $100,000 or more.
SpartanNash to close Maryland facility
SpartanNash is shutting down a plant in Landover, Maryland, according to a recent WARN Notice in Maryland. The closure impacts 141 workers. Under the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act (WARN), employers with more than 100 employees must give at least 60 days’ notice of facility closures or mass layoffs.

Germantown Man Killed In Fatal Crash In Gaithersburg Saturday Night
Montgomery County Police are investigating. Gaithersburg, Md (KM) The investigation continues into a fatal crash in Gaithersburg Saturday night. At around 10:12 PM, police and fire and rescue responded to North Frederick Avenue at Travis Avenue.
