Southampton Town Police arrests
Southampton Town Police reported three arrests for driving while intoxicated in the Riverside-Flanders area last week. Roman Romanyuk, 63, of Riverhead was charged with driving while intoxicated after the vehicle he was operating was observed by Riverhead Police striking two street sign posts on Flanders Road in Riverside on July 10 at about 5 p.m., according to police. The vehicle he was operating came to a rest on the curb, police said. Southampton Town Police officers interviewed Romanyuk and found him to be intoxicated, according to the report. He was arrested, transported to Southampton Town Police headquarters and processed on a misdemeanor charge of driving while intoxicated. He was held for morning arraignment, police said.
