Riverside County Sheriff Reports Pedestrian Killed in Fatal Hit-and-Run Collision with a Vehicle in San Jacinto
June 28, 2024 – Riverside County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on Thursday, June 27, 2024, at 3:04 a.m., deputies from the San Jacinto. Sheriff’s Station responded to San Jacinto Avenue, south of Shaver Street, in the city of San Jacinto, regarding a major injury traffic collision involving a pedestrian. Deputies arrived within minutes and located a subject in the middle of the roadway, which they determined to be deceased. The vehicle that struck the pedestrian fled the scene after the collision.

Riverside County Family Disturbance Call Ends in Death of 46-Year-Old Moreno Valley Man
June 28, 2024 – Riverside County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on June 26, 2024, at 3:58 a.m., deputies assigned to the Moreno Valley. Sheriff’s Station were dispatched to a residence in the 22000 block of Country Gate Road, Moreno Valley regarding a family disturbance. Upon arrival, deputies spoke with the mother of the suspect, whom she identified as 46-year-old Joseph Gloria. The victim advised she feared Gloria because he had threatened family members with a wooden rod. She also told deputies Gloria was under the influence of methamphetamine, and he was still armed with the wooden rod. After speaking with Gloria’s mother, deputies determined that Gloria had committed several felony offenses and would be taken into custody.

Authorities are on the lookout for a driver involved in a hit-and-run accident in San Jacinto that left another motorist in critical condition this past weekend. The incident, which occurred late Saturday night near the intersection of Ramona Expressway and Old Mountain Avenue, involved a blue Kia and a silver Chevrolet. The Riverside County Sheriff's Department said that the Kia was speeding eastbound and using the westbound lanes to pass other cars when it collided with the Chevrolet, as per CBS News Los Angeles.
