Lewis joins UIS Basketball Staff
The University of Illinois Springfield men’s basketball program has announced that Earl Lewis will join the coaching staff at UIS for the 2024-25 season. $1.5M awarded to JTED teacher apprenticeship program recipients by governor
Grant funding assists paraprofessional educators facing barriers to employment; McKendree University among grant recipients. Governor JB Pritzker, the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) and the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) have awarded $1.5 million in grant funding to three Illinois universities through the Job Training and Economic Development (JTED) Teacher Apprenticeship Program.
Tornadoes Fend Off Rockets for Non-Conference Win
Taylorville started out the 2024 volleyball season with a home win over Rochester on Monday. The Tornadoes won 25-22 and 25-23 but had to fight off late set challenges from the Rockets, including a 13-3 run to tie the second set at 23.
