Limited $799 Season Parking Passes Up for Lottery at Park City Mountain Resort, UT
Guests who plan to visit Park City Mountain Resort, Utah, this winter have until Tuesday, September 3 at 4 P.M. MST to enter for a chance to purchase a season parking pass in the covered and coveted Mountain Village Garage. 83 remaining season parking permits will be assigned on a random lottery system. Those who are chosen will have the opportunity to purchase the pass for $799, which is an increase from the $775 price tag last season. Anyone interested can apply here. Over 400 total entries have already been gathered. “Winners” will be notified on September 4.

Park City waterworks failure impacts Main Street
A waterworks failure occurred along Main Street on Thursday evening and the repairs and cleanup continued on Friday. Evidence of the failure remained visible on Friday morning and there was heavy machinery on the 300 block of the street. The machinery by 8:30 a.m. on Friday had excavated a rectangular cutout in the middle of Main Street. There was sand and mud in the vicinity of the Egyptian Theatre entrance and a nearby walkway linking Main Street and Swede Alley. It appeared the failure caused damage to brickwork as well. Caution cones had been placed at the location.
Water pipe break at Egyptian shuts off water, minor basement damage
Egyptian Theater Executive Director Randy Barton said he arrived at the building around 6 p.m. Aug. 29 and saw a “pretty impressive” geyser out front. “Mostly contained to the basement, which has no major damage that we can tell,” Barton said. “But we're worried about what's happening underneath the sidewalk all in front of the theater, because that's where all the water was flowing.”

University of Utah helping schools achieve better indoor air quality
