Gus Seidel Joins Men’s Cycling for 2024-25 Season
BANNER ELK, N.C. – Lees-McRae College Director of Cycling Tim Hall announced the addition of Gus Seidel to the 2024-25 recruiting class for the men’s cycling program. Seidel comes to Banner Elk from Brooklyn, New York where he graduated from Millennium Brooklyn High School and was the New York State Junior Road Race Champion in 2024. “I chose to come to Lees-McRae because of the great location, strong team, and size of the school,” said Seidel. “I did not want to go to a huge school where I would never interact with my professors.” Seidel plans to focus on road…
Eden church to host Homemade Ice Cream Supper
Eden Church will host its Homemade Ice Cream Supper from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 3, at 1620 Mill Springs Road, Jonesborough. The homemade ice cream flavors include vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, cheesecake, butter pecan, peach, chocolate chip, blueberry, coffee, cookies and cream. (The Center Square) – OPMobility will receive a $558,000 incentive grant from Tennessee toward a $3 million expansion of its Spring Hill plant, which is expected to lead to 186 new jobs in Maury County.
