McKinney Center announces fall art classes in Jonesborough
This fall you can learn a new arts skill or hone a long-forgotten hobby with the McKinney Center's list of upcoming arts classes. The McKinney Center and Jonesborough’s Mary B. Martin Program for the Arts announced its fall schedule of classes last week. According to a press release from the McKinney Center, the list is full of "hands-on learning opportunities" for both children and adults. Registration is now underway for all upcoming classes and workshops.

Fatal Motorcycle Accident on Highway 62, Victim Identified
A 2015 Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by 75-year-old Connie West collided with a 2006 Dodge pickup truck driven by 84-year-old Dewey Ruble. Both vehicles were traveling west when Ruble attempted a left turn, resulting in the motorcycle striking the rear of the pickup. The motorcycle came to an uncontrolled rest on the left shoulder of the westbound lane, while the pickup truck came to a stop on the right shoulder of the eastbound lane.
