Durbin requests federal help for students hurt by recent college closings
Illinois U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin is asking the federal government to help students left in the lurch by the abrupt closings of two Chicago-area colleges this month. Streator Police investigating shooting incident; victim in OSF Peoria
An unidentified man is in OSF Peoria after being shot in Streator City Park late Saturday afternoon. In a release, city police said they were called to the park about 4:45pm on the report of a shooting. The victim, a 32-year old man, was found with a gunshot wound to the back. He's now in OSF Peoria, but his condition is not known.
