Pinpoint Weather: Heat Advisory Tuesday, storms possible

ROANOKE, Va. ( WFXR ) – A Heat Advisory is in effect east of the Blue Ridge on Tuesday. Combining heat and humidity, it will feel like 105-110 degrees during the afternoon.

Humidity levels across the region will increase over the next couple of days, with a tropical feel expected.

Temperatures will start the day in the 60s and 70s, rising into the 80s and 90s during the afternoon hours.

With heat and humidity around, showers and thunderstorms are possible during the afternoon and evening hours. The severe weather potential looks low, but a few stronger storms are possible. Heavy rain and gusty winds are expected from those.

Temperatures will remain hot for most of the week, with a slight break expected on Friday. Temperatures will increase again for the weekend.
