Pinpoint Weather: Relief arrives as storms end

ROANOKE, Va. ( WFXR ) – A cold front is moving through the region and will be east of the region on Thursday. Behind the front, humidity levels will drop.

As the front moves east, the threat of thunderstorms will exit the region with sunshine expected on Thursday.

Temperatures will drop slightly on Thursday with highs in the 80s and 90s after starting the day in the 60s. The heat index will not be an issue as humidity levels are lower.

Humidity will return to the region on Friday, bringing showers and thunderstorms back. Temperatures will be cooler Friday before the heat returns this weekend and for the first half of next week. Daily isolated to scattered storms are possible again Saturday through Wednesday.
