Pinpoint Weather: Showers and strong storms possible

ROANOKE, Va. ( WFXR ) – This afternoon will continue to be partly sunny, hot, and humid with a chance of showers and storms. The Storm Prediction Center has the risk level at Marginal, which is the lowest, for isolated strong to severe storms. The greatest threats are damaging wind and heavy rainfall.

Our Futurecast shows the potential for showers and storms through the evening and then repeating Thursday afternoon and evening.

Thursday’s high temperatures will be a little lower than today’s.

Temperatures will remain close to normal for the next week.

Rain chances will continue for the next week as well. After Thursday’s afternoon and evening showers and storms, Friday’s showers will be more isolated. Then, Saturday into next week will see daily scattered showers with thunderstorms possible.
