Pinpoint Weather: Brief break from the rain coming

ROANOKE, Va. ( WFXR ) – Rain will end across the area overnight with most of the region staying dry on Friday. The one exception will be the south where a few showers are possible during the day.

Temperatures will remain pleasant on Friday with morning lows in the 50s and 60s and daytime highs in the 70s and 80s.

Rain chances will increase overnight Friday into Saturday as warm and humid airlifts back into the region. On Saturday, a few strong storms are possible if sunshine can break through the clouds. Strong wind gusts will be the main threat. The highest potential will be east of the Blue Ridge.

Temperatures will remain near to below average for the week ahead with highs in the 80s and lows near 70.
