    Pinpoint Weather: Wet pattern continues

    ROANOKE, Va. ( WFXR ) – Daily chance for showers and thunderstorms will continue this week as a warm front remains to our north and warm, humid air from the Gulf of Mexico continues to stream into the region.

    The main threat this week appears to be heavy rain, with one to two inches expected. Locally higher amounts will fall in thunderstorms.

    Areas of fog are possible overnight as most of the rain comes to an end. By midday, showers and thunderstorms are expected to form, lasting into the late evening hours.

    Temperatures will increase a bit more on Tuesday with highs in the 70s and 80s. Parts of the south will approach 90. Temperatures will start the day near 70.

    Temperatures will remain in the 80s for the week ahead with overnight lows near 70.
