Pinpoint Weather: Rain and storms continue

ROANOKE, Va. ( WFXR ) – Showers and storms will continue for the next couple of days. Storms that form could bring heavy rain. Over the next three days, one to two inches of rain is expected east of the Blue Ridge with less than one inch to the west.

A stationary boundary remains in the region which will remain the focus for showers and storms the next couple of days. The highest rain potential will come during the afternoon and evening hours.

Temperatures will be slightly cooler on Wednesday with highs in the upper 70s and 80s after starting near 70.

By the weekend, rain chances start to back off, but temperatures will begin to increase again. Through Saturday, high temperatures will be in the mid-80s. Beginning Sunday and into next week, look for highs in the upper 80s to near 90.
