Pinpoint Weather: Showers, storms, and heavy rainfall

ROANOKE, Va. ( WFXR ) – This afternoon and evening will be cloudy with showers likely and thunderstorms possible. There is a chance of excessive rainfall leading to flooding and strong to severe storms resulting in damaging wind.

This afternoon will be warm with highs in the 70s to upper 80s.

Temperatures tonight will be near normal with tomorrow’s highs slightly below normal.

The outlook for the next couple of weeks keeps our area near to slightly above normal.

There may be a break in the rainfall this weekend with just a slight chance of showers and isolated storms. For most, it appears it will be dry.

The Floyd Fest music festival starts today in Check, VA in Floyd County and it looks like it will be cloudy and muggy with showers and storms possible.
