Fire damages home in Pittston
PITTSTON, Pa. — Flames damaged a home in Luzerne County on Saturday. Crews were called to a home along Butler Street in the city around 1:30 p.m. "Once it got into the attic, it traveled the ridgeline, which made it a very difficult fire to fight. But after several alarms we got guys in there and started to make some headway," said Chief Frank Roman, Pittston Fire Department.
Duryea manufacturer to add 100 jobs as part of major expansion
A Duryea robotics and automated equipment manufacturer plans to expand and add dozens of jobs during the next three years, its leader said Friday. Michael McHale, president and CEO of Production Systems Automation Inc., announced the expansion plan during an event with Gov. Josh Shapiro. Shapiro highlighted a new state program to redevelop abandoned industrial sites that McHale said his company might tap.

Flames spark at apartment building in Taylor

Here’s another part: Thursday the Wyoming Area Football Alumni Association dedicated the school’s weight room as the Paul Marranca Performance Center. And another: though separated by time, Marranca stepped down as head coach in 2007, and distance, he lives in Arizona, the Warrior coaching staff and the football alumni still call him “Coach.”
