That’s because not only did the celebrated film director work alongside Buenos Aires hotelier and Faena founder, Alan Faena, to design the five-star property, but Faena tapped a series of other worldly and exuberant creatives to bring his one-of-a-kind vision for a beachfront hotel to life. One of those creatives was Ximena Caminos, an Argentina-born entrepreneur who served as the former creative director and partner at Faena Group and the founder of Faena Art. Now, nearly a decade after Faena Miami Beach opened its fashionable front doors, Caminos has decided to part with her Miami penthouse—and it looks a lot like a mini Faena Hotel.

The sun-drenched aerie , priced at $7.7 million , tops The Caribbean, a condo building on Collins Avenue designed in 1941 by architect L. Murray Dixon, who constructed many star buildings in Miami’s Art Deco period. The penthouse is a combination of two units and was fully renovated by Caminos, who tapped SAS/Solomonoff Architecture Studio for architectural consulting. The ceilings are 11 feet high, and every room is lined with floor-to-ceiling windows. The four-bedroom, five-bathroom spread sprawls over almost 3,400 square feet and has an additional 3,500-square-foot rooftop terrace decked out like a sleek hotel bar. Nancy Batchelor with The Nancy Batchelor Team at Compass holds the listing.

While the penthouse doesn’t have Faena’s signature red hue, it has a medley of eclectic decor, animal prints, animal and nature motifs, and one-of-a-kind furnishings you’re unlikely to spot elsewhere. Indeed, Caminos’s singular style comes to life in every room, from the pastel-hued living room to the whimsical bedrooms lined with nature-inspired art. Design details include hand-painted murals by Argentinian artist Augusto Pia Falopapas, vintage furniture picked up in Paris, and, of course, stunning contemporary artwork, for which the Faena brand is known.

Some special moments in the home include the formal dining area, which has mirror-polished copper panels on the ceiling, and the kitchen, which sports a pink onyx countertop and a mirrored backsplash. Each room has views of the ocean, which may be why Caminos opted for a soft color palette of pastels punctuated with bold patterns.

The four bedrooms, some of which Caminos repurposed for other uses, such as an office, are as colorful and eclectic as the rest of the penthouse. Every bedroom has access to a private terrace.
