London is home to a number of high-end residential buildings such as the Whiteley London , which houses 139 unique abodes for those looking to live lavishly. Last winter, the Queensway site—formerly a popular department store known as Whiteleys—unveiled a $16 million apartment by New York-based designer Kelly Behun. Now, it’s another pad’s turn to hit the market; though this one is by award-winning design firm Joyce Wang Studio .

The new $22 million digs (delivered by development managers Finchatton with investment partners MARK and C C Land) and its sophisticated quarters are thanks to Wang and her team, who are behind interiors for other luxury properties such as Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, the Berkeley, and Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. Similar to Behun’s design, this third-story residence pays homage the 1911 department store that once stood in its place, offering up a selection of globally sourced wares, as well its founder, William Whiteley.

Herringbone wooden floors pop against smooth beige walls in the four-bedroom abode, with double-height ceilings and marble-clad features from its main living area to kitchen. The former offers up a chic sitting area next to tall arched doorways that open out to a balcony, plus a dining area that seats 10. London’s Porta Romana provided the modern wall sconces and chandeliers dotting the space, which illuminate details such as the kitchen’s marble-top island and nearby turquoise green carpeting.

Wang’s use of green spills over to the primary bedroom, where a green suede headboard stands tall between two bedside tables. Black frame doors open out to a balcony here, and nearby, owners can access the primary bathroom with a veined stone wall. A carved-out section of the slab above the free-standing tub illuminates your go-to toiletries. Elsewhere in the apartment, a den with a desk and plush seating share space with an unique art sculpture. Two of the home’s commissioned artworks are by Armando Mesias, while its antiques and rugs were sourced from 1stDibs and Milan’s CC Tapis, respectively.

“It was a true honor, and a rare opportunity, to be given both a blank slate and carte blanche for this project at the Whiteley,” Wang said in a statement. “The quietly luxurious and grand space we have crafted is layered with custom pieces spanning eras and continents.”

Residents of the Whiteley also gain exclusive access to Six Senses Place, a social club that houses the brand’s flagship spa and other amenities like a fitness studio, steam room, indoor Padel court, and 65-foot swimming pool. Its close proximity to Hyde Park also places owners in short walking distance of vibrant art, murals, world-class restaurants, and bars.
