David Dirkers for Ward 2

David Dirkers announced his plans to run in the special election for the open Robbinsdale City Council seat in Ward 2.

“I am truly excited to meet more of my Ward 2 neighbors!” Dirkers told the Sun Post. “It has already felt great to get more involved in the Robbinsdale community. My wife Mary and I moved to Robbinsdale in 2020 with our comical cat. Since then our two young children, and dog have come along to make the household much more lively!”

Dave is a member of the Robbinsdale Chamber of Commerce and an avid enthusiast of the local parks, trails and lakes. He also is a small business owner specializing in investment real estate, and takes pleasure in supporting the small businesses of Robbinsdale.

The election is to complete the term of former Council Member Sheila Webb, who stepped down in October . Robbinsdale residents in Ward 2, who represent northeastern Robbinsdale, can vote on Tuesday, May 14 in the special primary.
