As the 2024 regular season nears its end for softball, the Robbinsdale Cooper Hawks have shown signs of improvement, winning two games in recent weeks.

There were competitive losses to Roosevelt and Totino-Grace, 14-8 and 4-0 respectively, but also a pair of wins. Cooper beat St. Croix Prep 19-7 on April 27, its first win of the season, and Johnson 21-3 on May 1.

The Hawks faced Edison on the road on May 6, narrowly losing 10-9 to the hosts. Cooper lost 12-3 to Fridley-Columbia Heights the next day. Both teams were chasing a first conference win on May 7, with Fridley-Columbia Heights coming out on top.

Cooper will play their games the following week to conclude their regular season, traveling to DeLaSalle on May 13 (after this edition went to press), before hosting Johnson on Wednesday, May 15, and playing Armstrong at Zachary Park in a traditional rivalry matchup on Friday, May 17.
