Greens, sweet and spicy food: The Lakeview Terrace Farmers Market will soon begin its third year.

The market is open from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. every Saturday starting May 18 through Sept. 21 at 3769 Crystal Lake Blvd., in Robbinsdale.

Not only will many familiar vendors such as L&D BBQ, Heartland Heritage Farms, Nuanced Hot Sauce, DBL Creations and Flame Mobile Kitchen be on site, but a variety of events and special visitors are scheduled for this year as well.

Each morning of the market will be a free fitness class at 9:30 a.m. Once per month, there will be a wellness class. Owner Chaz Sandifer said she is planning a knife-off cooking competition in for July 13. Stay up to date with the market on Facebook at facebook.com/LakeviewTerraceMarketMpls.

Michele Webb, the “Crazy Cronut Lady of Chele’s Crazed Cronuts” will be there May 25.

“Take a bite, put a smile on your face, and join the Cronut Crazies Family today!” Webb wrote the Sun Post. “Cronuts are croissant donuts, and all of this craziness happened because of a huge mistake. During lockdown, when everyone was making sourdough bread, I used sourdough starter to make beignets. Two days before a market, I let Crusty Sourdough II — always name your sourdough starter to guarantee the best results... a most excellent tip from culinary school — (I let it) go bad and had to have a serious menu change. ... I gave those cronuts to West Side Farmers Market, and nothing would ever be the same, in the best way possible!”

Marsha McCain of Marshay In the Garden will be there every other Saturday beginning May 18.

“We are a vegetable/herb seedling grower as well as a microgreen producer,” McCain wrote. “This will be our third year at the Lakeview Terrace Farmer’s Market. Once again this year we will have starter plants: tomatoes, peppers, brassicas and herbs along with a variety of microgreens. There will be a wide variety of heirloom plants to choose from. We will also be introducing some new microgreens for everyone to enjoy.”

The business caiti made that LLC will be attending every other week beginning May 25.

“I make handmade goods that are perfect for gifting or for pampering yourself,” Owner Caiti (Laszewski) Przybylski wrote. “My main offerings include soft flannel-backed washcloths, cute tea towels, luxurious shower melts, and of course my adjustable, reversible pet bandanas will be back. Those will have free personalization onsite as always. I’ll have everything in new fabric options, and I’ve got a new pizza-themed tea towel design ready to go.”

She added that she has a focus on sustainability:

“I believe that quality handmade goods should be available without breaking the bank. I believe in keeping fabrics out of landfills whenever possible, so I buy mine at last-stop clearance outlets or secondhand as much as I can. I also love creating custom orders, so if you are looking for anything specific or have an idea you want to bring to life, let me know. I promise to give it my all. I’ll be making things all summer, so expect my product mix to change and grow a little bit throughout the season.”
