The Robbinsdale Area Schools Board of Directors has been meeting in closed sessions under Statue 13D.05, Subd. 2 for “preliminary consideration of allegations or charges against an individual subject to its authority.”

Details have not been made public other than there are allegations against multiple board members. During work sessions, board members have spoken about the possibility of heavy legal fees from being sued.

However, an estimated price tag has not been presented. The district has not released a statement about the allegations.

According to the statute, “If the members conclude that discipline of any nature may be warranted as a result of those specific charges or allegations, further meetings or hearings relating to those specific charges or allegations held after that conclusion is reached must be open. A meeting must also be open at the request of the individual who is the subject of the meeting.”.

A meeting was held on May 14 and another was scheduled for May 20, but it was canceled.
