    Robbinsdale seeks multicultural advisory commissioners

    2024-07-25

The city of Robbinsdale is looking for volunteers to advise the police department by via the Multicultural Advisory Committee.

The Multicultural Advisory Committee is a core component of the Joint Community Police Partnership (a Hennepin County program that works collaboratively to enhance relationships between police and the community, specifically with immigrants, people of color, indigenous people, and faith communities). The committee is an engaged group of volunteers who advise the Robbinsdale Police Department on how to better serve, communicate with and understand the many cultures that reside in, work in or visit the Robbinsdale community.

The Multicultural Advisory Committee meets monthly with police personnel to discuss topics that are important to their communities, build mutual trust and open up two-way communication.
