Nipro Medical Corp. to build $398M North Carolina plant
Medical device maker Nipro Medical Corp. is building a $397.8 million facility in Greenville, North Carolina, Gov. Roy Cooper stated in a July 17 press release. The 550,000-square-foot plant will create 232 jobs and produce dialyzers and precision needles for the healthcare industry that support people with diabetes, chronic kidney disease and other renal health issues, according to Nipro.

Firefighters respond to rollover crash on NC 11, driver hospitalized with minor injuries
A vehicle rollover in Winterville but thankfully the driver survived. According to the Winterville Community Fire Department on Monday night July 22 a vehicle collision occurred on the NC 11 South Bypass. Ayden Fire and Rescue Station responded, and the firefighters discovered a vehicle rollover by the Forlines Road overpass. There was only one driver of the vehicle who was actually out by the time the firefighters arrived. The scene was cleared, and the driver was taken to ECU Health with non-threatening injuries.
