Deadly Fort Worth Shooting: 1 Dead, 3 Injured in Stockyards

A slaying inquiry is underway after a shooting close to the Fort Worth Stockyards district left an individual lifeless and multiple people wounded early Sunday morning.

According to the Fort Worth Police Department, officials were dispatched to shots fired at 111 NW 24th Street t, Fort Worth, Texas 76164 around 3 a.m. on Oct. 6.

When emergency responders came, they saw an 18-year-old male shot in the parking lot of a business at the documented address. Three other victims were also found all maintaining non-life-threatening wounds.

The injured victims were brought to local hospitals for medical remedy and are predicted to survive. The officer said another victim had been brought to the hospital by personal car.

Police say at least one suspect fired into a crowd at the location, and fled the scene.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner determined the man who was killed 18-year-old Joseph Padilla was a resident of Weatherford Texas.

Jail documents indicate that 19-year-old Kevin Aguilar has been arrested with murder about the shooting.

Fort Worth investigators are encouraging anyone with details to deliver them a call.
